It has everything: blue bay, whitecaps, fresh Mediterranean pines and luxury boats decorate this French paradise Riviera. French Riviera has an amazing palette. In the morning, the azure mirror of the Mediterranean sea reflects golden rays of the rising sun. During the day the water echoing infinite sky tints with a splendid sapphire color. Yet, even by night, it preserves the last drops of the deep-blue dye left by the day. Thus, this cobalt touch draws a suggestive skyline, mixing steep Alpes-Maritimes, the sky and the sea into a single blend of color. By Maria Novozhilova RUS
RUS
ENG
Italy is full of surprises. Small villages, divine landscapes and picturesque architecture are hidden all over the country. One of these Italian jewels, the “Humpback” bridge in borgo Dolceacqua (Liguria), is veiled by the green silhouettes of the maritime Alps. The small pearl of the Liguria cost was discovered by many. Yet, it is still know by few. Alas! The master hand of Claude Monet captured the charming grace of the monumental form back in 1884. Since then time seems to stay frozen leaving intact the bridge and its beauty. By Maria Novozhilova

No name design is a small yet suggestive exhibition at Triennale di Milano open from June, 19 to September 14. It explores and compares small and, in a way, trivial objects that, however, teach us a good design providing interesting and helpful hints. The collection of more than 1000 no-design objects investigates such topics as “mono-block mon amour” (monoblocco mon amour), “made and counterfeited” (fatto e contrafatto), “handles and grips” (per una buona presa), “hammer and mallet” (colpo su colpo), “open and close” (apri e chiudi), “parts to be connected” (parti da collegare), “as clear as daylight” (chiaro come il sole), “everything is inside” (tutto dentro), “big, small and big again” (grande, piccolo e di nuovo grande), “rethink it again” (nuovo? no, migliore) and many others… By Maria Novozhilova |
