Milan is a city synonymous with cutting edge fashion and design. These two distinguished universes weave around and within one another producing intriguing results. The exhibition “I see colors everywhere” promoted by the clothing brand United Colors of Benetton on the occasion of the last Milan Fashion Week and held at La Triennale di Milano is one such occasion.

Colorful, daring, innovative and sustainably green (but also red, yellow, blue, pink, orange, white and black as the Benetton brand itself), this exhibition showcases a large number of objects in which dye is the theme. A theme, however, that exceeds a mere notion of color. After all, our world is made of colors,  which often carry political, social and cultural deep meanings, and that are anything but anodyne.

The exhibition showcases works that span from photography, to furniture design, neon art, video installations and graphics. A hammock made of soil-less living plants (“Naturalise” (2017) by Ainhoa Garmendia), blinking “Snap” (2017) by Marianna Fernandes and numerous photographic explorations of color qualities of human body are definitely not to miss if you are in Milan.
