On January 24, 1884 Claude Monet, a founder of French Impressionist painting, traveled to Dolceacqua in Liguria to depict charming silhouettes of the Humpback Bridge. He intentionally came back to this magic borgo full of suggestives perspectives and magnificent views that he discovered some months earlier during his summer tour to Liguria in the company of no less famous Auguste Renoir.
Small Italian borgo Dolceacqua where the bridge was built in the Medieval age is trully charming. The bridge though is not the only attraction of the town. Stone architecture, fabulous mountain landscape and the local yet country-wide famous wine “Rossese di Dolceacqua” make the town experience just unforgettable...
